Running for Pediatric Cancer Care in Boston

Boston is known for the Marathon, but there’s another race that’s near and dear to the City’s heart.  For nearly two decades, Four Seasons Hotel Boston has hosted the Run of Hope to raise funds for pediatric cancer care at Massachusetts General Hospital for Children (MGH).  The 5-kilometre run, 2-kilometre walk and 30-yard dash for kids take place along the Charles River Esplanade and draw support from more than 600 employees, local celebrities, MGH patients, and Bostonians-at-large.  After participants finish the run, there is a pancake breakfast cooked up by Four Seasons Chefs as well as an awards ceremony during which raffle, race, and fundraising prizes are handed out. The top fundraisers receive a complimentary stay at a Four Seasons property, with roundtrip airfare included.   To date, the Run of Hope has raised approximately $1 million for the cause.
