Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai is helping youth break out of poverty through its Hospitality Apprenticeship Program. The two year program gives 17 to 21-year-old students the skills necessary to pursue careers in hospitality. Students graduate from the program equipped with theoretical and on-the-job training in hotel operations. Participants also finish with improved skills in language and math, and a mentor to help adjust to the working world. As of now, more than three students have received certification with marks over 80 per cent. Four more apprentices in Food Production will receive their certification in June 2011.
