Thanksgiving is a time to show gratitude for the people and things we appreciate most in life. And every year, Four Seasons Hotel Washington does just that by honouring the City’s police officers, fire fighters and emergency room workers. For the past 11 years, the Hotel has partnered with Secor Group to host “Thanksgiving on the Mayflower.” The City’s finest may have to work over the holiday, but at least they won’t go hungry. On Thanksgiving Day, the Hotel serves more than 300 public servants on-the-job with complimentary meals of turkey, ham, roast beef, potatoes, stuffing and cranberry sauce. The meals are served from a 53-foot Mayflower moving truck dressed in fine linens, silver and china. Staff even dress up for the event and don traditional Thanksgiving costumes including a giant turkey and pilgrim outfit.
